Moors extended their unbeaten run in National League North to five games with a brilliant 3-0 win over Farsley Celtic at The Horsfall Stadium on Friday night.
The fixture was switched to the home of Bradford (Park Avenue) with Farsley still enduring problems with their playing surface at The Citadel.
However, the alteration did little to knock Moors out of their stride and a double striker from Glen Taylor and a goal for Rob Ramshaw ensured a comfortable night for Graeme Lee’s men.
Taylor got the ball rolling with just seven minutes gone when he arrived onto an inviting delivery from Reece Staunton to guide a superb left-footed volley across the keeper and into the far corner for 1-0.
Corey McKeown, restored to the side on the right, burst away into space to feed a low ball across the area which was only half cleared to Isaac Fletcher, but his shot was blocked by a defender.
Taylor then attempted a cheeky lobbed effort from long-range which dropped wide, before both he and then Matty Dolan rattled a free-kick into the Farsley wall.
Manasse Mampala provided the hosts’ only real moment of excitement during the first half which Moors dominated, but he stung a shot too high after cutting inside from the right.
Moors doubled their lead on 32 minutes. Staunton was allowed to travel towards the edge of the box with the ball and when his powerful drive was parried out by keeper Tom Wooster, Ramshaw was perfectly placed to sweep home the rebound.
Ramshaw drew a save from Wooster before Fletcher rifled a low shot just wide of the post as Moors rounded off a totally dominant half on the front foot.
Farsley would have been hoping to start the second half quickly but were stopped in their tracks when Taylor made it 3-0 just 90 seconds after the restart. A long free-kick forward was flicked on by Dan Rowe and Taylor took a touch to settle himself before lashing a low shot beyond Wooster.
Callum Ross stung the palms of the home side’s keeper and Taylor could have then snatched a hat-trick when he escaped down the left only to blaze his shot wide.
Lee’s side continued to control the affair as time wore on, and Ramshaw could have added further gloss when he ran on to McKeown’s square pass, but his low shot was saved.
Junior Mondal came off the bench to come close to scoring the fourth on the counter attack, but he stung as shot just wide after turning inside from the right.
