We turn the focus back on the Emirates FA Cup with a full and in-depth preview of Saturday’s trip to The Impact Arena.
Alfreton Town v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 22nd October 2024, 7.45pm
The Impact Arena
The Opposition
Alfreton Town moved fourth in the table and just two points behind National League North leaders Scunthorpe United after a battling 1-0 win over Chorley on Saturday.
The Reds continued their impressive run of form on home soil, further extending an unbeaten sequence at The Impact Arena which stretches back as far as last November.
Moors pushed them hard in the FA Cup when the sides met there ten days ago but now there are National League North points at stake as they return to Derbyshire.
The home side reached the play-offs last term but failed to negotiate their way to promotion but after an encouraging start to 2024/25, optimism will be high that this could be the year for Billy Heath’s men.
Previous Meeting
Moors are back at The Impact Arena for the second time this month after the two sides met in Fourth Round Qualifying of the FA Cup last weekend.
On that occasion, it was a second half strike from Liam Waldock which secured victory for Alfreton on controversial afternoon when Moors had a Glen Taylor goal ruled out.
Match Officials
Declan Brown will be the man in the middle for Tuesday night’s contest, and he will be assisted by Wayne Cooper and Charles King. Ashley Royston is the Fourth Official.
Tickets
Tuesday’s game is not segregated, and Moors fans can opt to buy tickets online in advance or pay by cash on the turnstiles prior to kick-off on the day.
