Preview: Needham Market v Moors

We turn the focus on the weekend action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to Bloomfields.

Needham Market v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 2nd November 2024, 3pm
Bloomfields

The Opposition
Needham Market have struggled to maintain their momentum at the higher level after winning promotion as Southern League Premier Division Central champions last term.

The Suffolk outfit are on four sides sitting at the base of the National League North table with 10 points having tasted defeat in six of their last seven league outings.

Brilliant away wins at Warrington Town and Hereford as August turned into September increased confidence and they also enjoyed an eye-catching 3-0 win over South Shields at the beginning of October.

However, The Marketmen have conceded 28 goals in 14 games so far this season and will be keen to hit back positively after a 7-1 mauling at Buxton last weekend.

They are managed by former Manchester City and Swindon Town midfielder Kevin Horlock who combines his role in charge at Bloomfields with that of Assistant Manager of Northern Ireland Under-21s.

Previous Meeting
This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides.

Match Officials
Lee Hible will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest at Bloomfields, and he will be assisted by Matthew Friend and Josh Burn. Peter Wilson is Fourth Official.
