We turn the focus back on the Isuzu FA Trophy with a full and in-depth preview of Saturday’s Third Round trip to The Impact Arena.
Alfreton Town v Spennymoor Town
Isuzu FA Trophy Third Round
Saturday 7th December 2024, 3pm
The Impact Arena
The Opposition
Alfreton Town held off a fightback from Needham Market to run out 3-2 winners and book their place in Round Three of the FA Trophy against Moors.
Billy Heath’s side collected a decent draw away at Scunthorpe United last weekend, hitting back after a surprise 4-2 defeat on home soil to South Shields in their previous outing.
However, they remain just a couple of points short of the play-off positions and have games in hand on many of their rivals after another good run in the FA Cup this term.
Previous Meeting
This will be Moors’ third trip of the season to The Impact Arena having been knocked out of the FA Cup there in November before winning in the league a fortnight later.
It was a scruffy own goal that did the damage in the National League North visit as Graeme Lee’s men produced a gritty performance to secure the three points.
Match Officials
Dan England will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s FA Trophy tie at The Impact Arena, and he will be assisted by Jack Shepherd and George Eaton. Mohsin Arshid will act as Fourth Official this weekend.
Competition Rules
Both sides are permitted to name seven substitutes for Saturday’s FA Trophy tie, of which five can be used at any time throughout the 90 minutes. This has increased from five now the competition has reached Round Three.
If the game is all-square at 90 minutes, then it will go straight to a penalty shootout without the need for extra time or a replay.
Tickets
Saturday’s cup tie is segregated, but Moors fans can opt to buy tickets online in advance for Saturday’s game or pay by cash on the turnstiles prior to kick-off on the day.

Betting Odds
Alfreton Town have been installed as 13/10 favourites for victory inside 90 minutes on Saturday, while Moors are rated a 7/4 shot and the odds are 12/5 on the tie going to penalties.
