Saturday’s National League North fixture against Alfreton Town has been postponed following a pitch inspection at The Brewery Field.

Plummeting temperatures combined with snowfall in the area over the last week had left the pitch unplayable and it was agreed to organise an inspection for Friday morning.

With more sub-zero temperatures forecast for this evening, local referee Andrew Miller had no option but to call the game off after carrying out his inspection.

A new date will be confirmed as soon as possible and tickets purchased for the original fixture will remain valid for the rearrangement.
