Preview: Chester v Moors

We turn the spotlight on Tuesday evening’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to The Deva Stadium.

Chester v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 21st January 2025, 7.45pm
The Deva Stadium

The Opposition
Chester come into Tuesday evening’s game sitting third in the National League North table on the back of three successive victories.

The Blues seem to have rediscovered a real consistency which had deserted them during the latter stages of 2024, and they are now six games unbeaten in the league.

After securing an excellent 3-1 win at Buxton last weekend, Calum McIntyre’s side then also scored four in victory at Leamington before overcoming Alfreton Town 2-0 at The Deva Stadium on Saturday.

Chester’s run of good form means they are now back in the thick of the play-off places and only three points behind current leaders Kidderminster Harriers.

Previous Meeting
Moors enjoyed the perfect opening day to the current campaign when they swept Chester aside 3-0 at The Brewery Field back in August.

Isaac Fletcher got his first two goals of the season and Matty Dolan was also on target as Graeme Lee’s men grabbed all three points on home soil.

Referee
Melissa Burgin is in charge for Tuesday evening’s fixture at The Deva Stadium, and she will be assisted by Alexander Perkin and Jordan Tindall. Jacob Viera will be the Fourth Official.
