Taylor Honoured After Hitting 200 Goals

Glen Taylor’s achievement of reaching 200 goals for Spennymoor Town was recognised during a special presentation before Tuesday night’s game at The Brewery Field.

The legendary front man hit his latest historic milestone when he scored a wonderful goal in the brilliant 2-0 win at Hereford earlier in the month.

Before kick-off, the Club’s Head of Football, Jason Ainsley, presented Taylor with a specially produced framed shirt to commemorate the incredible landmark.

Taylor went on to notch his 201st goal in Moors colours in the game against Alfreton Town on Tuesday, grabbing the third in Graeme Lee’s men’s 3-1 triumph.

As well as a special video montage created by the Club, Taylor also received dozens of video tributes from current and former teammates and people within the game, including talkSPORT presenter Jeff Stelling.
