Moors legend Glen Taylor swapped goalscoring for grand openings on Saturday lunchtime as he cut the ribbon at Treadmark Tyres’ brand new MOT Centre.
Based on Coulson Street in Spennymoor, Treadmark Tyres offer comprehensive service for vehicle owners across the area from tyre fitting and servicing to pre-MOT checks.
The local company has been a loyal supporter of the Football Club for many years, so we were delighted to receive an invite to the ceremony to celebrate the opening of their impressive MOT Centre facility.
The Club’s Managing Director Ian Geldard went along before the weekend game against Farsley Celtic – and he took skipper and top scorer Taylor too, who did the honours by cutting the ribbon.
Taylor went on to find the net in a 4-0 win over Farsley Celtic and used his celebration to form a T with his hands in tribute to Treadmark Tyres’ support of the Club.
“We’re extremely grateful for the backing given to Spennymoor Town by Treadmark Tyres over a number of years,” explained Geldard.
“The support of local businesses like Treadmark Tyres is the lifeblood of a Club like ours and we were delighted to be able to give something back by being part of their grand opening at the weekend.
“They are a well known and thriving business in our town and we’re very proud to have them as loyal partners, so we look forward to continuing our association with for many years to come.”
