Preview: Chorley v Moors

We turn our attentions to Saturday afternoon’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to Victory Park.

Chorley v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 29th March 2025, 3pm
Victory Park

The Opposition
Chorley currently sit in fifth position in the National League North table and look in good shape to make the play-offs for a second season in succession.

The Magpies really pressed their claims for a top seven finish in February when a run of five consecutive wins underlined their promotion credentials.

However, three defeats in their last six games have meant that they still have work to do during the run-in to confirm their place in the end of season shake-up.

Much of their success this season has been built around an impressive home record, with Andy Preece’e men tasting defeat just twice on their own patch all in the league.

Previous Meeting
This will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams after they have played each other in both the FA Cup and National League North at The Brewery Field.

Isaac Fletcher’s incredible goal settled a tense FA Cup tie in September, but The Magpies gained revenge the following month when they ran out 2-1 winners in the league contest.

Referee
Oliver Noonan will be the man in charge at Victory Park on Saturday, and he will be assisted by Joe Cunningham and Jamie Roberts. Jack Churchill is Fourth Official.
