Moors Managing Director, Ian Geldard, was delighted to be invited to visit Springmoor Grange School as this year’s guest judge for the school’s Easter Egg Decorating Competition.

Each class had a winner and a runner-up, all who were presented with a chocolate egg in a special assembly, where Ian was assisted by Moors’ Community Sport Development Officer, Hannah Marshall in the prize-giving.

“This year’s competition was a fantastic display of talent across all age groups, and it certainly wasn’t easy to judge!” said Geldard.

“Moors’ recent success in the FA Trophy has clearly created some excitement in school, as many of the entries were football or Wembley inspired!”

Springmoor Grange is one of many schools in the local area who benefit from Spennymoor Town’s Moors in the Community lunchtime and after-school sessions, where coaching staff from the Club attend school to deliver football training and fun.

“We are proud of our work with Spennymoor schools and are delighted with the impact the club has on our children and young people in the town” Geldard added.
