Midfielder Cam Salkeld is set to become Moors’ first signing of the summer after he agreed a deal to join the Club for the 2025/26 campaign.
The talented 26-year-old has spent the last two seasons on the books at local rivals Darlington where his high-energy style made him the Supporters’ Player of the Year in 2023/24.
Salkeld had some struggles on the injury front last term but is now back to fitness and is already looking forward to linking up with his new Moors teammates in pre-season.
Born in Gateshead, Salkeld initially came through the ranks at Newcastle United before making a switch to Carlisle United in 2015 where he spent three years.
He then agreed a move to Gateshead for a season before plying his trade north of the border with Greenock Morton, Ayr United and Clyde.
In 2023 he returned to England to sign for The Quakers and his non-stop running and dynamic style soon made him popular with the Club’s supporters during his debut campaign.

“The way Cam plays the game suits us down to the ground,” said Moors boss Graeme Lee.
“I’ve said it numerous times that we’re at our best when we play with real intensity, and Cam does that with his work rate and the distances he covers during games.
“He is full of running, has great ability, good experience and can play in a few different roles so he’s someone we’re delighted to be adding to our squad for 2025/26.”
Salkeld’s move to The Brewery Field is subject to clearance from The FA and National League.
