Favourites: Rob Ramshaw

Rob Ramshaw is next to reveal all in our popular feature as the midfielder makes his choices from our list of questions to lift the lid on his favourite things in life…

Favourite crisps?
I am not really a crisps kind of guy. I will say Walkers’ ready salted, but I am aware that’s a bit boring!

Favourite drink?
Stella Unfiltered. I prefer the Unfiltered one to the regular now, I reckon – it’s really nice. It goes down well after a win on a Saturday!

Favourite sandwich?
Bacon and sausage, with a bit of ketchup. It’s always got to be red sauce, mind. I sound really healthy in this feature so far for a footballer, don’t I? Haha!

Favourite pizza?
Ranch BBQ if we’re going to Dominos for pizza. That’s the one. I do like the pepperoni ones as well, but ranch BBQ gets the nod.

Favourite footballer?
I would say it’s between Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard. I would probably lean more towards Rooney just because of the way he played. He charged right around the pitch and gave everything and that’s the kind of demands I put on myself too.

Favourite match?
I think it’s got to be the Play-Off Final for Spenny. The way it went for me with it finishing 1-0 and me scoring the winner and getting promoted. In that team, there were also a lot of goof mates so to do that with us all together was memorable.

Favourite song?
Angels by Robbie Williams. That’s always been my favourite song, if you speak to anyone. I am not a karaoke kind of guy, but you’ll definitely find me singing along to that in the car if it comes on.

Favourite band?
That’s a tough one for me, to be honest. I can’t say I am really into any bands at the moment.

Favourite stadium?
I think it’s got to be St James’ Park. It isn’t even just because I support Newcastle, it’s just because of the location and everything. You don’t usually have stadiums that central and it’s always a great atmosphere at the games.

Favourite film?
I have always liked The Shawshank Redemption. Whenever anyone asks me about my favourite films, that one is at the front of my mind. I can still remember the first time I watched it and how much I loved it.

Favourite TV series?
Sons of Anarchy. That was what me and Jamie Chandler used to watch all the time when we were teammates at Gateshead. It was always on when we were on the coach to any long away trips, it was outstanding.

Favourite teammate?
Haha, I couldn’t answer that I don’t think. I suppose it has to be Glen Taylor because I have spent so long with him and he’s a close friend. Yeah, let’s go with Glen!
