Favourites: Glen Taylor

It’s Glen Taylor’s turn to step into the spotlight and answer our selection of questions to help us get a greater knowledge of his favourite things in life…

Favourite crisps?
Prawn Cocktail. Walkers usually. I do like Spirals in the same flavour too though.

Favourite drink?
Irn Bru. I like a pop. Extras is less calories.

Favourite sandwich?
Coronation chicken with the raisins in and everything. A Marks & Spencer one is the real deal. I don’t think I’d ever make it at home, like.

Favourite pizza?
I love a meat feast pizza. There’s plenty of protein on there so you can justify everything you’re eating by saying that it’s good protein. That lessens the blow!

Favourite footballer?
Harry Kane. That’s my more recent favourite player to watch. I think I try to play in a similar sort of style to him – I score a few goals but can’t really move.

Favourite match?
Probably the Play-Off Final when Ramma scored to get us promoted to National League North. You look forward to a Final so much but then once the dust settles and you’ve won, you can’t beat that feeling.

Favourite song?
It would have to be a Westlife one. Probably Flying Without Wings. I have been to see Westlife twice, they’re great!

Favourite band?
Haha, Westlife. I went to Manchester to see them and also to Newcastle. I have always loved them; they just play great music.

Favourite stadium?
I would have to say the new Wembley. It’s ginormous, isn’t it? And that’s the reason! Haha! The pitch is massive as well, it’s just not real. It was incredible to get the chance to play there; we’re just gutted we couldn’t get the result.

Favourite film?
It would have to be The Shawshank Redemption. I am sure you’ve had that a few times as an answer for this question – but it’s just brilliant, isn’t it?

Favourite TV series?
Probably Sons of Anarchy. That’s up there, isn’t it? Jax is a legend, and I believe he’s from the North East as well so that makes it even better!

Favourite teammate?
If we’re going all-time, I will say James Curtis. Of the current squad, I would probably pick Rob Ramshaw – but I have to say him, don’t I? Haha!
