Brad James Signs New Spennymoor Deal

Brad James has handed Graeme Lee a huge boost after putting pen to paper on a new deal to stay at The Brewery Field for the 2025/26 National League North campaign.

The talented goalkeeper has been one of Moors’ key players since initially arriving at the Club in February 2024 and has so far made 63 appearances in all competitions.

James produced some incredible performances last term, notably in Moors’ run to the FA Trophy Final, and keeping him at the Club became a summer priority for boss Lee.

The 25-year-old has now agreed terms on a fresh contract and was alongside his Moors teammates when they returned to pre-season training on Thursday evening.

“We’re absolutely delighted that Brad will be staying with us,” admitted Lee.

“There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best goalkeepers in the division and he’s proved that time and again with some exceptional performances in the last two seasons.

“Obviously, it’s a key position for us and we were really keen to get Brad tied down to a new deal, so we’re pleased that we’ve managed to get it done.

“He’s not only a top player but he’s also popular in the group and hard-working in training so we’re excited to work with him again in 2025/26.”

James is the latest player to commit his future to the Club after Matty Dolan, Olly Dyson, Michael Ledger and Dan Rowe all put pen to paper on new deals to stay at The Brewery Field.
