Moors Ready For Bishop Auckland Test

Moors will be back in action on Tuesday night when they welcome Bishop Auckland to The Brewery Field for the first home friendly of pre-season.

Graeme Lee’s men ran out 3-1 winners in their opening fixture at Crook Town on Saturday and now they will hope to build on that when they return to their own patch.

Olly Dyson scored twice, and fellow summer recruit Alfie Doherty hit the net in spectacular fashion to help Moors make a solid start to the warm-up campaign.

Now they welcome local rivals Bishops, who finished 11th in the Northern Premier League East Division last term after winning promotion as Northern League champions in 2023/24.

Lee fielded a number of trialists during the weekend game at The Millfield Ground and the Moors boss is expected to do likewise for Tuesday evening’s friendly.

The game is not segregated and both home and away fans can choose to either buy tickets in advance online or pay by cash or card directly on the turnstiles ahead of kick-off.
