Philippa Hunter Signs For Moors Ladies

Moors Ladies have strengthened their squad ahead of the new campaign with the arrival of talented young goalkeeper Philippa Hunter.

The highly rated 16-year-old has most recently been on the books at Park View Academy and was part of the squad which lifted the prestigious Marbella Cup at the end of June, seeing off a host of top-level academies from across Europe.

As well as representing Park View, Hunter has also worn the colours of Durham Cestria and will now be looking to build on her growing reputation at The Brewery Field during 2025/26.

“We’re really pleased that Philippa is joining us for the new season,” said Moors Ladies boss Stephen Durrant.

“She is an emerging talent in the local women’s game, and this is another keynote signing for us as we look to build for the future.

“Philippa is already a very talented goalkeeper, and we’re excited to see how she continues to develop with us in the coming years.”

Hunter impressed on her debut for Moors on Thursday evening, keeping a clean sheet as the Ladies kicked off their pre-season campaign with an impressive 1-0 win over National League outfit Norton & Stockton Ancients.
