Olly Green Joins Spennymoor On Loan

Graeme Lee has further strengthened his squad ahead of 2025/26 with the signing of midfielder Olly Green on a season-long loan from Boston United.

The Moors boss has been keen to bolster his midfield options and has now negotiated a deal to bring the 22-year-old talent to The Brewery Field for the new campaign.

Green is a product of the Hull City Academy, and he turned professional with The Tigers in 2022 before gaining senior experience with loan spells at Bridlington Town, Marske United and York City.

Last summer, Livingston paid Hull an undisclosed fee to take the midfielder north of the border, but he returned to England in February when he agreed terms with The Pilgrims.

“We’re really pleased to get the deal done and have Olly with us for the season,” said Moors boss Lee.

“He’s a player we’ve had eyes on for a while, and we know he will bring a real energy and enthusiasm to our midfield.

“I think his approach to the game will make him popular with our supporters so I’m really looking forward to working with him throughout the year.

“We aren’t too far away now but there are still one or two things we’d like to get done, so we’ll keep on working away behind the scenes.”

Green has been handed squad number 18 and his move to The Brewery Field is subject to the normal Football Association clearance.
