A second half double from Glen Taylor was enough to see off Radcliffe and take home all three points.
The big number 9 opened the scoring with a sensational finish into the top left corner, before slotting home a spot kick to add to Moors tally.
The hosts started the game promisingly, as both Hallam Hope and ex Moors man, Danny Greenfield saw shots go begging within the first 10 minutes.
Moors looked to get their foot in the game as Corey McKeown drove into the area on the right-hand side. The wide man floated a dangerous ball into the back post which had to be expertly cleared from danger by Brad Roscoe.
Greenfield went close on the 20th minute as he struck a powerful effort on goal that forced Brad James into a great save to tip the ball away from danger.
Boro’s number 4, Rick Smith, rose up to meet a corner on the 34th minute, but his glancing header fell wide of the mark.
Rob Ramshaw looked to have his say on things as he smashed a shot goalward, but his effort was blocked on the edge of the box by a Boro man.
Moors continued to push for the opening goal as the first half came to a close. Corey McKeown saw a low cross claimed by Mateusz Hewelt after great work down the right-hand side, before Matty Dolan fired over from 25 yards.
Goalless at the break, Moors looked to break the deadlock early in the second half, and Graeme Lee’s side did just that.
Good play from Moors saw Taylor get the ball from McKeown on the edge of the box. The front man shifted the ball onto his right foot, before unleashing a brilliant, curling effort right into the top left corner of the net, finally breaking the Boro’s back line on the 52nd minute.
The captain almost added to his tally just two minutes later as his volley flew just wide of the post.
Moors continued to bear down on the Boro defence, as Alfie Doherty, fresh off the bench, had to have his cross deflected into the arms of Hewelt, before Ramshaw had his shot deflected out for a corner.
The pressure eventually paid off for Lee’s men, as Moors were awarded a penalty on the 71st minute. A brilliant drive from McKeown saw him burst into the box, where he was hacked down by a Boro man.
Glen Taylor stepped up to take the spot kick and buried it into the bottom left-hand corner of the net, leaving Hewelt no chance despite his decision to dive the right way.
Having just gone two goals down, Radcliffe looked to drag themselves back into the game, as substitute, David Ball, had his header fly just wide on the 74th minute.
Moors had suddenly been forced into defensive work as Bernard Morley and Anthony Johnson’s men began to throw the kitchen sink at the fixture.
Radcliffe went close on the 80th minute as pinball in the box almost saw the ball bobble past Brad James, only for Dan Rowe clear to clear off the line. The hosts were then inches away from bringing a goal back two minutes later, only for Glen Taylor to follow Rowe in clearing off the line.
Boro did actually get the ball in the back of the net on the 83rd minute, however, a foul on Matty Dolan meant the goal wouldn’t stand, much to the relief of everyone in Moors colours.
David Ball thought he had pulled on back from his side with just seconds of the 90 remaining, only for James to come up with an impeccable save to tip the 25-yard strike over the bar.
A hard fought, away win to keep Moors early season winning streak alive, with focus shifting to the visit of King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday night.
