Michael Ledger Leaves Spennymoor Town

Michael Ledger has now left the Club after it was mutually agreed to cancel his contract at The Brewery Field.

The defender joined Moors back in August 2022 and has gone on to become one of the most reliable performers, making 109 appearances in all competitions.

However, boss Graeme Lee has now confirmed that Ledger has been given the Club’s blessing to move on following several conversations in recent weeks.

“Ledge has been fantastic for me since I arrived at Spennymoor,” Lee told us.

“He never lets you down on or off the pitch, he’s done a job no matter what position we’ve asked him to play, and he was a massive part of our run to the FA Trophy Final last season.

“Unfortunately, working life alongside having a young family has made it really hard for him to be able to give us his full commitment.

“After many discussions with him, we think it’s best for him and the Club that he moves on and he leaves with our very best wishes for the future.”
