Report: Moors 0 King’s Lynn Town 5

Moors fell to heavy defeat at The Brewery Field as rampant King’s Lynn Town inflicted a 5-0 defeat on Graeme Lee’s men.

Goals from Bailey Clements, Reece Hall-Johnson as well as a hat-trick from Michael Gyasi proved the difference for The Linnets as they took all three points back to The Walks.

King’s Lynn opened the scoring on the 25th minute through Bailey Clements, who did well to avoid various challenges before firing home past Brad James.

Gold Omotayo saw a golden opportunity go begging as he fired wide from inside the 18-yad box, before Rob Ramshaw was inches away from prodding home from a Mackenzie Heaney cross at the other end.

The visitors added a second just before the break as Michael Gyasi profited from a dropped ball from Brad James, slotting home low past the Moors keeper.

Gyasi doubled his tally on the 54th minute as he produced a sensational strike from the edge of the area, hitting the inside of the right post before nestling in the back of the net.

The number 10 let fly from range just six minutes later, only to see his effort parried away by James.

The Linnets striker finalised his hat-trick with 24 minutes of the second half remaining, as he got in behind and lobbed the oncoming Moors keeper from inside the penalty area.

Moors saw a chance go begging as Rob Ramshaw cut back to debutant substitute Austin Samuels, who saw his strike on the turn deflected wide of the mark.

Kings Lynn added their fifth of the evening through Reece Johnson-Hall. An ingenious ball toward the back post found the number 2, where he fired home past James at his near post.

A tough night for Moors to take as King’s Lynn run out deserved winners. Focus now shifts onto the long trip down to Oxford City on Saturday.
