Moors Ladies have further strengthened their squad ahead of the start of the new season by completing the signing of midfielder Zoe Norton.

The former South Shields schemer brings plenty of experience to the Moors engine room having played at Premier Division level for a number of seasons.

Norton becomes the eighth new arrival this summer as new boss Stephen Durrant continues his squad makeover in preparation for 2025/26.

“Zoe is a great addition for us, and I’m delighted she’s joining the Club,” Durrant told us.

“She’s got plenty of knowhow having played for South Shields over recent years and she’s integrated into the group really well during pre-season.”

Norton will now go straight into contention for a competitive Moors debut when Durrant’s side open their campaign away at Ponteland United this Sunday.

“I’m really happy to be joining Spennymoor this season,” Norton explained.

“Hopefully I can help the team push on and achieve their goals for 2025/26 after a couple of really competitive seasons in the Premier Division.

“I’ve been loving it so far since coming into the Club and I can’t wait for the games to get started now.”
