Moors fell to their first away defeat of the new season as AFC Telford United ran out deserved winners at The SEAH Stadium.
Goals from Dylan Allen-Hadley, Adan George and Jamie Meddows were enough to give the home side all three points, aswell as their first win of the National League North campaign.
The hosts started brightly, and Allen-Hadley went close on 15 minutes as he let fly from inside the area, but his effort was well saved by Brad James.
The Bucks did open the scoring just four minutes later as Allen-Hadley scampered away through the middle of the Moors defence, rounded James inside the penalty area, before comfortably slotting home into the empty net.
The hosts continued to come forward, this time through George, who fired a low shot on goal after getting the better of Olly Dyson, which James did well to save.
Thakgalo Leshabela had a chance go begging just before the break as he saw his shot from the edge of the box stopped by James, who was being kept busy.
Matty Dolan almost found an equaliser just four minutes into the second half, but his 30-yard strike fell wide of the post, before the hosts saw some half chances of their own, as Rhys Hilton and Adan George both saw nothing come of their efforts.
Telford found their second just after the hour mark, as a loose ball from Dolan fell to the feet of Adan George, who took a touch into the box before thumping home a venomous strike past James.
James had to intervene again on the 73rd minute as he brilliantly tipped Jordan Cranston’s effort over the bar to deny The Bucks of a third.
Kevin Wilkin’s men rounded off the afternoon’s events with their third goa with time running out. A real mix-up at the back allowed the hosts to clip the ball past the oncoming James and into the path of substitute, Meddows. The Bucks number 10 made no mistake, as he tapped the ball home with his first touch.
A tough loss away from home, as focus will now shift to Tuesday night’s visit to Worksop Town.
