We turn the focus on Tuesday evening’s action with a comprehensive preview of our trip to The Windsor Foodservice Stadium (7.45pm kick-off).
Worksop Town v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 2nd September 2025, 7.45pm
The Windsor Foodservice Stadium
The Opposition
Worksop Town have made an encouraging start to life in National League North after winning promotion from the Northern Premier League last term.
The Tigers finished runners-up to Macclesfield and then went on to triumph in the play-offs, negotiating their way past Ashton United before beating Guiseley in the Final.
After collecting just one point from their first three games, Craig Parry’s side have hit back impressively and approach the meeting with Moors on the back of three straight wins.
Saturday’s eye-catching 2-1 victory over Chester underlined the growing confidence in the Worksop ranks as they acclimatise to life at the higher level.
Previous Meeting
Tuesday evening’s game will be the first competitive meeting between the sides.
Referee
David Jones will be the man in the middle for Tuesday night’s encounter at Worksop, and he will be assisted by Alexander Beeley and Matthew Bacon. Thomas Bingley is the Fourth Official.
