Ladies Focus On Huddersfield FA Cup Test

Moors Ladies are preparing for a huge FA Cup tie this weekend when they make the trip to face Huddersfield Town in Third Round Qualifying (2pm kick-off).

Nikita Hemmingway’s side produced a battling performance to win 2-1 at Birtley Town in the previous round and their reward was another away assignment against The Terriers.

Moors have made an encouraging start to the new campaign and have tasted defeat just once in all competitions when they were beaten by leader Thornaby last Sunday.

Now they turn their attentions back to the FA Cup and embrace the challenge of going up against National League side Huddersfield with a place in the First Round Proper at stake.

“We’ve had some great memories in the FA Cup in recent years and there’s no reason we can’t make some more this Sunday,” Hemmingway insisted.

“Obviously, we go into the game as underdogs, but we’ve been in good form so far this season and there’s a real confidence in the squad.

“We’ll give Huddersfield the respect they deserve, but we’ll also try and get on the ball and play our game – and if we’re at our best, we can definitely cause them some problems.”

The game takes place at The Stafflex Arena at Shelley FC on Storthes Hall Lane and supporters are welcome to head along and enjoy the action.

Huddersfield have informed us that admission is £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and free for kids – though the price includes entry into the half-time raffle.
