Alfie Doherty has now left the Club after it was mutually agreed to cancel his contract at The Brewery Field.
The midfielder joined Moors during the summer following a spell with Whitby Town and went on to make 10 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
However, Doherty made it clear that he wished to move on in search of more regular football, and following amicable discussions, it has now been agreed to cancel his contract.
“We’ve had conversations with Alfie to try and persuade him to stay and fight for his place,” explained Moors boss Graeme Lee.
“However, he was keen to explore other options that might open the door to more regular football and, in the end, we didn’t feel we could stand in his way.
“We thank him for his efforts and wish him every success for his future career.”
