Report: Kidderminster 1 Moors 0

Moors fell to a frustrating defeat at the hands of Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough Stadium.

A 64th minute strike from Ryley Reynolds was enough to hand the home side all three points on the day, as the Harriers move up to 7th.

Both sides had half-chances go begging early on, as Matty Dolan’s saw his free-kick come to nothing, before Reynolds smashed an effort over the bar.

Reynolds was involved again 17 minutes in when he took aim from the edge of the area, only to be thwarted by a brilliant diving challenge from Dan Jones.

The hosts continued to apply pressure, this time through Owen Evans. His low ball found Tobi Sho-Silva, who struck an effort narrowly wide of the upright.

Bobby Jones had some work to do in the later stages of the first half, as he comfortably smothered Joe Foulkes’ half volley, only to deny Sho-Silva 2 minutes later.

Adam Murray’s side almost took the lead with just 4 minutes remaining in the half, when Reece Hill struck an effort on goal. However, his shot, was cleared off the line by Dan Jones.

Moors looked to get going after the break, as Rob Ramshaw got away down the left, only to see himself flagged for offside.

Dan Mooney went close on the hour mark when he hit a low driven free-kick on goal, which was well saved at stretch by Bobby Jones.

Kidderminster broke the deadlock soon after, when Ryley Reynolds found space to strike from the edge of the area, dispatching an inch perfect finish into the bottom right corner of the net.

Moors went to hit back immediately after the restart through loan-man Ethan Robson, but his effort soared over the bar.

With just 12 minutes left on the clock, Dan Rowe almost got Moors level. A good ball into the near post from Mackenzie Heaney found the defender, who fired on goal, only to see his effort clawed away by Christian Dibble.

Another chance went begging less than a minute later, as Ramshaw got in behind before striking on goal, but his shot was well saved by Dibble.

Moors had another chance a minute into stoppage time, as the ball fell to substitute, Tom Pugh, who hit a powerful strike goalwards, which as blocked by the Harrier’s bodies in the area.

Graeme Lee’s side pushed to the end for an equaliser and were almost rewarded when Glen Taylor connected with Ben Pollock’s header across the goal, only to put his header just over the bar.

An agonising end to a hard-fought game for Moors, who will now shift focus onto the FA Cup 1st Round Tie with Barrow a week from now.
