Moors have completed a stunning deal to bring Santa Claus back to The Brewery Field for another temporary stay in Spennymoor this Christmas.
Having enjoyed memorable spells at The Brewery Field and across the town in previous years, there was always a desire to bring the big man back to Spennymoor for the upcoming festive season.
Crunch talks have taken place in recent weeks, and we’re delighted to confirm that boss Graeme Lee has finalised terms to ensure Santa will be back in town for 2025!
“He drives a hard bargain, but we’ve got the deal agreed and Santa is returning to Spennymoor,” revealed a delighted Lee.
“We’ve had to cover some of his travel expenses with some magic dust for the sleigh and a quite astonishing number of carrots for the reindeer, but we’ve got it all agreed.
“We’ve seen in the past just what kind of impact he can have in Spennymoor with his speed and his quality delivery, so we’re excited to have him here again.”
Santa’s short-term deal will begin on Saturday 29th November when he’s the guest of honour to switch on the Christmas Lights alongside the Town Mayor in the Market Square.
From Monday 1st December to Friday 5th December, he will take up residence in his Grotto at the Town Hall, during which he will meet hundreds of children from schools right across the town.
His first appearance at The Brewery Field will come on Saturday 20th December when he’s in attendance for our game against Oxford City when he’ll meet supporters.
Santa will then take up a position in his Brewery Field Grotto in the Sports Bar for sessions on Sunday 21st December (10am-12noon) and on Monday 22nd December (2pm-4pm) when kids can come along and visit him too!
He will, of course, be sticking around to enjoy the festivities at our Children’s Christmas Parties which are taking place at The Brewery Field on Sunday 21st December (2pm-4pm) and Monday 22nd December (6pm-8pm).
Places are available to book at both of our Christmas Parties right now – simply email us on [email protected]
