We turn the spotlight on Saturday’s National League North action as Moors play host to Chester at The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Chester
National League North
Saturday 29th November 2025, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Having been beaten by Scunthorpe United in the National League North Play-Off Final last term, Chester have struggled to capture their best form so far in 2025/26.
The Seals enjoyed victory over Peterborough Sports on the opening day but then failed to win any of their following 10 matches and currently sit 12th in the table.
They’ve certainly been more difficult to beat in recent weeks, and their spirit was underlined in midweek when they levelled in the 97th minute to snatch a draw against Hereford.
However, they now drawn exactly half of their 18 league games this season and boss Calum McIntyre will be keen to turn more of those into wins as they look to climb back towards the play-off places.
Previous Meeting
Chester took all three points when the sides last met back in January when Dan Mooney’s goal late on was enough to take victory for The Seals.
It was some revenge for Calum McIntyre’s side who were soundly beaten 3-0 on their last trip to The Brewery Field on the opening day of last term, thanks to a double from Isaac Fletcher and one from Matty Dolan.
Referee
John Mulligan will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s game, returning to The Brewery Field for a second time this term after taking charge of our FA Cup win over Chadderton.
Mulligan will be assisted by Matthew Bacon and Shemakay Own, while the Fourth Official at the weekend is Conor Ledgeway.

The game is not segregated, and both home and away supporters are able to buy their tickets online in advance or by cash and card on the turnstiles from 12.30pm.
