We turn the focus to Saturday’s National League North action as Moors make the trip to face Marine at The Marine Travel Arena.

Marine v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 6th December 2025, 3pm
The Marine Travel Arena

The Opposition
A wonderful run of form during the second half of last term drove National League North new boys Marine away from trouble and into a solid 15th place finish following promotion.

They look keen to build on that during 2025/26 and find themselves on the fringes of the play-off places ahead of Moors’ visit to The Marine Travel Arena this weekend.

Bobby Grant’s side won three out of four at the beginning of the campaign before a sequence of four defeats saw them drop down the table as August turned into September.

However, they seem to have found more consistency in recent weeks and are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions having made good progress in the league and the FA Trophy.

Previous Meetings
Last season was the first time the two clubs had shared a division since the 2016/17 Unibond Premier Division campaign.

It was Marine who had the edge last term, running out 1-0 winners at The Brewery Field in February to follow up a 2-2 draw on Merseyside in which Aidan Rutledge snatched a last-gasp equaliser for Moors.

Referee
Charles King will take charge of Saturday’s encounter at The Marine Travel Arena, and he will be assisted by Niall Eaves and Dale Wilson. Daniel Hitchell is the Fourth Official.
