Moors star Rob Ramshaw has paid tribute to his late grandad, Fred, and dedicated the two goals he scored in Saturday’s win at Marine to his memory.
The midfielder hit the net twice to secure a brilliant three points for Graeme Lee’s men at the weekend and then opened up about an emotional week for him and his family.
Dedicated Moors fan Fred was laid to rest on Thursday after passing away following a short battle with cancer, and Ramshaw has now dedicated his double strike on Merseyside to both of his grandparents.
“I text my grandma after the game and said that one goal was for her and the other was for my grandad,” he told us.
“It was a really hard week for me but it shows you how things happen because I very rarely score two goals and when I did, I thought of him straight away, so it was a special day.
“That one was for him and my grandma.”
