South Shields spent Christmas at the summit of the National League North table after enjoying an impressive first half of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Mariners moved to appoint Ian Watson as their new boss in May, and the former Gateshead Assistant Manager has proved an astute choice so far.
Shields got off to a brilliant start, winning an astonishing 10 of their first 12 league outings to put down a marker in the race for promotion.
Kidderminster Harriers inflicted their first home league defeat at the beginning of December but they have since bounced back with victory over Peterborough Sports and an eye-catching triumph at Chester on Saturday.
Previous Meetings
Moors won two out of three meetings with The Mariners last term, winning in the FA Trophy in November and then taking three points from their visit to Shields in April.
Goals from Rob Ramshaw and Aidan Rutledge did the damage for Graeme Lee’s men in that victory at The 1st Cloud Arena last Easter.
Referee
Richard Holmes will be the man in charge of our Boxing Day visit to South Shields, and he will be assisted by Connor Scott and Karl Parker. Samuel Packer is the Fourth Official.

Moors fans must buy their tickets for the Boxing Day fixture in advance online as there will be no availability for visiting supporters on the day.
