We turn the focus to Saturday’s National League North action as Moors make the trip to face Chester at The Deva Stadium.
Chester v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 28th February 2026, 3pm
The Deva Stadium
The Opposition
After coming close to promotion last season, Chester have had a frustrating 2025/26 and find themselves sitting 11th in the table ahead of the weekend’s action.
Calum McIntyre recently confirmed his intention to step down from the Manager’s role at the end of the campaign after spending four years in the hotseat.
The Seals suffered a surprise 5-2 defeat at Hereford in midweek, which was a shock to the system after McIntyre’s men had collected 10 points from the last available 12.
Now Chester face a North East double-header as they host Moors on Saturday before welcoming Darlington to The Deva Stadium next weekend.
Previous Meetings
Chester scored twice in the last ten minutes to come from behind and claim all three points in a 2-1 win when the sides met at The Brewery Field last month.
Moors’ last trip to The Deva Stadium also ended in defeat when Dan Mooney’s goal nine minutes from time proved the decisive moment for The Seals.
Referee
Scott Henry is the man in the middle for Saturday’s encounter at The Deva Stadium, and he will be assisted by Alexander Beeley and Mohd Sarwari. Jamie Roberts is the Fourth Official.
