Moors Ladies Focused On Bouncing Back

Moors Ladies will aim to get back on track when they make the trip to face Sunderland West End in the NERWFL Premier Division on Sunday (2pm kick-off).

There was disappointment for Nikita Hemmingway’s side last time out when they fell to a surprise defeat at Wallsend which saw them slip to fourth place in the table.

However, they will now be determined to react to that when they travel to bottom-placed Sunderland West End this weekend.

“We were all frustrated with how things unfolded at Wallsend,” admitted Hemmingway.

“The good thing about football is that there is always another game around the corner in which you can bounce back and that’s what we must be thinking about now.

“I would like to think our defeat last Sunday maybe focused a few minds and we can use that to drive us on to have a really strong second half of the season.

“We can’t take anything for granted because of Sunderland’s position in the league, so we have to go there and get back to the standards we know we’re capable of.”

Sunday’s game will take place at Herrington Recreation Ground at 2pm, with supporters welcome to go along and enjoy the action.
