Preview: Moors v Bedford Town

We turn the spotlight on Saturday afternoon’s National League North action as Moors play host to Bedford Town at The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Bedford Town
National League North
Saturday 7th March 2026, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Bedford Town have more than held their own following a second successive promotion which saw them playing at National League North level for the first time in 2025/26.

The Eagles sit 19th in the table ahead of a quickfire return to County Durham, having fallen to a 2-0 defeat at Darlington last weekend.

However, Lee Bircham’s side will have taken confidence from home victories over Chorley and Peterborough Sports as they look to put further distance between themselves and the bottom four.

Previous Meetings
Moors ran out 3-0 winners when the two sides met at The New Eyrie earlier in the season as Junior Mondal scored twice and Glen Taylor was also on target.

This weekend’s fixture will be Bedford Town’s first visit to The Brewery Field.

Referee
Bilal Moosa will take charge of Saturday’s encounter at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Karl Barron and Karl Parker. Simon Clayton is our Fourth Official.
