The Opposition
Merthyr Town have enjoyed a memorable debut season at National league North level and are still firmly in the hunt for promotion as the run-in approaches.

Having amassed an impressive 91 points in winning the Southern League Premier Division South title last term, The Martyrs have maintained that momentum into 2025/26.

Boss Paul Michael’s commitment to playing attacking football has been rewarded with 84 league goals already – only AFC Fylde have scored more in the division this season.

However, they will be looking to hit back after a disappointing result last time out when they were beaten on home soil by Chester on Tuesday night.

Previous Meetings
There has only been one other competitive meeting between the sides – and that was when Moors ran out 6-4 winners in an astonishing game at The Brewery Field in October.

Dan Rowe and Junior Mondal both scored twice, while Glen Taylor and Rob Ramshaw were both also on target as Moors earned three points from the ten-goal thriller.

Referee
Harry Warner will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest at Penydarren Park, and he will be assisted by Jake Woolley and Paul Collier. Dylan Baylis is Fourth Official.
