We turn the spotlight on Saturday afternoon’s National League North action as Moors play host to Alfreton Town at The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Alfreton Town
National League North
Saturday 21st March 2026, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Alfreton Town injected fresh optimism into their battle for National League North survival with a crucial win over rivals Hereford on Thursday night.
That tense 2-1 triumph at The Impact Arena was their first win since the end of last month and dragged them back within three points of safety.
The Reds have struggled for consistency during 2025/26 and that led to the departure of long-serving boss Billy Heath in September, with Jake Buxton arriving to succeed him.
The Derbyshire outfit have games against high-flying Macclesfield and South Shields on the horizon, but they are also due to meet fellow strugglers Oxford City and Leamington in what could prove pivotal fixtures.
Previous Meetings
Moors were beaten 2-1 when the sides met at The Impact Arena back in November as the hosts scored twice in the final six minutes to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
There were four meetings between the teams last term – Moors ran out winners in both league games and in the FA Trophy but were knocked out of the FA Cup by The Reds.
Referee
Alexander Beckett will be the man in the middle this weekend at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by James Gallagher and Matthew Rose. Ashley Royston is our Fourth Official.
