We turn the focus on Good Friday’s National League North action as Moors welcome South Shields to The Brewery Field.

The Opposition
South Shields are challenging with AFC Fylde for the National League North title after a season of twists and turns in their battle with The Coasters for promotion.

Ian Watson’s men find themselves four points behind their rivals in second ahead of the Easter schedule, but they do still have a game in hand meaning the race looks likely to go right down to the wire.

The Mariners had a little wobble in form last month when they collected just one point from three away assignments, but they arrive at The Brewery Field on Good Friday on the back of consecutive wins on home soil.

News broke earlier in the week that fresh investment is on the way at 1st Cloud Arena and it will be hoped that off-field boost will transmit to the players on the pitch during what is set up to be a tense run-in.

Previous Meetings
Moors suffered their heaviest defeat of the season when they made the trip to face South Shields at 1st Cloud Arena on Boxing Day as the hosts ran out 6-0 winners.

Last season Moors came out on top over three battles with The Mariners, beating them away in the league and at home in the FA Trophy while the league game at The Brewery Field ended in a draw.

Referee
Oliver Noonan will be the man in the middle for Good Friday’s action at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Matthew Bacon and Duncan Carratt. Umar Ahmed will be our Fourth Official.

Tickets
Good Friday’s game is segregated and ALL-TICKET – meaning supporters of both sides must buy their tickets in advance online as there will be no availability on the day.

Tickets will remain on sale online until the end of Thursday 2nd April.
