The Opposition
Scarborough Athletic bolstered their hopes of a play-off place with a dramatic last gasp win over top seven rivals Darlington on Good Friday.
The Seadogs thought they were going to have to settle for a point when Kieran Weledji’s own goal made it 1-1 on 77 minutes – only for Will Thornton to win it right at the death.
Jonathan Greening’s side moved into sixth place in the National League North table as a result though they are just two points ahead of Moors ahead of the Easter Monday action.
Due to problems with the pitch at The Flamingo Land Stadium, Scarborough are playing their home games at Bridlington Town’s Mounting Systems Stadium this season.
Previous Meetings
Astonishingly, the last seven meetings between the two sides have ended in draws – and the last five have finished 1-1.
The latest 1-1 draw was at The Brewery Field back in December when Mackenzie Heaney’s early goal was cancelled out by Lewis Maloney four minutes from time.
Moors have the only victory in this fixture to their name after they ran out 3-0 winners at Scarborough in the FA Vase in December 2010.
Referee
Lewis Dawson will be the man in the middle for Easter Monday’s contest, and he will be assisted by Paul Mosley and Joel Tilmouth. Benjamin Duffill is the Fourth Official.
