Macclesfield v Spennymoor Town
National League North

The Leasing.com Stadium

The Opposition
Macclesfield have enjoyed a memorable first season in National League North – and it could get even better for The Silkmen if things go to plan in the coming weeks.

John Rooney’s men attracted the headlines with an incredible FA Cup run which saw them reach Round Four, knocking out the holders Crystal Palace on their way.

However, they remain in with a shot of crowning an exceptional campaign with a successive promotion having already secured their place in the play-offs.

Macclesfield started relatively slowly but soon found their feet and they come into Saturday’s meeting with Moors on the back of seven wins from 10.

However, they will be keen to bounce back after being thumped 4-1 by league-leaders South Shields in midweek.

Previous Meetings
The two sides shared the points in a goalless draw when they met at The Brewery Field back in the opening month of the National League North campaign.

Referee
Jonathan Maskrey will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest with The Silkmen, and he will be assisted by Stephen Brown and Taylor Metcalf. Ben Cotton is Fourth Official.

Tickets
Moors fans are encouraged to buy their tickets online in advance as tickets will only be on sale from the Macclesfield Main Reception and not on the turnstiles on Saturday.
