Moors’ mileage to complete their away games during 2026/27 will come down slightly after the full line-up for National League North was confirmed.
The decrease in travel is only marginal, with the new season’s total travel set to dip slightly under 7,000 miles in round trips again after going over that figure last term.
The loss of Peterborough Sports to relegation has helped reduce mileage, while another long-distance opponent in Kidderminster Harriers also escaped the division after their Play-Off Final triumph over South Shields.
Merthyr Town will remain our longest journey of the season, weighing in at a hefty 600-mile round trip, while Hereford comes in at 490 and Oxford City is a 474-mile journey.
Hebburn Town’s promotion to our division provides another short trip with their stadium just under 24 miles from The Brewery Field. Tommy Miller’s men will also welcome return journeys to South Shields and Darlington, which are 50-mile and 37-mile round trips respectively.
New boys Harborough Town – based in Leicestershire – will mean a near 400-mile round trip is added to the schedule and Brackley Town’s relegation sees the return of a 430-mile round trip to St James’ Park.
Spalding United’s promotion adds a 350-mile round trip to Lincolnshire, Hednesford Town is a very similar distance, though relegated Morecambe represents a relatively short 170-mile round trip for Moors next term.
In all, Miller’s men will cover just over 6,900 miles in completing their National League North fixtures during the 2026/27 campaign.
