Spennymoor Town Youth FC Seniors are in cup final action this Saturday when they travel to New Ferens Park to face Belmont United in the Washington Aged Persons Trophy (2.30pm kick-off).

Belmont United currently compete in the Wearside League Division One, where they have enjoyed success in recent years, including a 3rd placed finish this term.

Steven Turnbull’s side are no strangers to cup triumph, having overcome Deerness Valley 3-1 away from home to clinch the Clem Smith Bowl Cup earlier in the week.

However, Moors go into the fixture off the back of an excellent victory over South Tyneside FC and will be looking to cause an upset at New Ferens Park against a side two tiers above them.

Saturday’s game will be held at New Ferens Park, with ticket prices coming in at the low cost of just £5 for adults and £2 for concessions! As well as this, under 16s can attend this fixture free of charge!
