James Eyes Play-Offs After Agreeing New Deal

Moors star Brad James has immediately set his sights on helping the Club challenge for the play-offs after agreeing terms on a new deal for 2026/27.

The talented goalkeeper arrived at The Brewery Field in February 2024 and has developed into one of the most reliable performers in the squad since then.

James’ consistent and often eye-catching displays last term meant that new boss Tommy Miller made it a priority to tie the shot-stopper down to a new contract.

And now the deal is done, James is already excited by the prospect of what can be achieved during the 2026/27 National League North campaign.

“I am absolutely delighted to be staying at Spennymoor Town,” James told us.

“After such a strong finish towards the end of last season, it was an easy decision to make to commit my future to the Club.

“The fans, players and staff have always been great to me since I have been here, so having the opportunity to extend my stay was something I jumped at.

“We’ve been close a couple of times during my time here, but I genuinely believe and know we are good enough to make the play-offs so that’s got to be the aim now.”
