Talented young defender Louis Stephenson has become Moors’ first new signing of the summer after his loan move to The Brewery Field was turned permanent.
The 20-year-old impressed during a six-week spell on loan from Hartlepool United at the end of last term, making 10 appearances as Moors finished the campaign strongly.
Right-back Stephenson came through the ranks at Victoria Park and was rewarded with his first professional contract with the club in December 2023.
However, he was released by Pools at the end of last term and Moors boss Tommy Miller has wasted no time agreeing terms on a deal to bring the promising defender back to The Brewery Field.
“We’re delighted to get things agreed with Louis because he did ever so well when he came in on loan at the end of last season,” explained Miller.
“He’s still very young but he’s determined to learn and get better – and we saw his quality through some of his performances for us.
“Louis is also a really good character who fits in really well with the lads here; he settled in very quickly which helped him show how good he can be.

“I think he was probably a little hard done by at Hartlepool because he played lots of games and did quite well, but lots of new managers came in and he lost his way a little bit.
“He’s hungry to come here and learn and improve, so we’re delighted to have him and I can’t wait to work with him again in the new season.”
