3 What are you most addicted to at the moment?
Coffee. I love a Cortado. I just love coffee, to be honest. I would say I have about five or six most days.

16 How many brothers and sisters do you have?
One. I have a sister who is older than me. She was actually born on Christmas Day three or years before me – she’s called Nicola.

23 Which side of the bed do you lie in?
The right side. That’s actually the furthest away from the door but that’s because the little man’s baby monitor is on that side of the room and I like to be close enough to keep an ear on that.

27 What’s the coldest you’ve ever been?
I can tell you immediately that it was when I was an Under-13 in Boro’s Academy and we played against Sheffield Wednesday. I don’t know what the temperature was that night, but it was absolutely Baltic and I remember shaking. I am past 30 now but I can still remember that like it was yesterday because it was so cold!

29 Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met?
I once got in a lift with Michael Flynn who was the Newport manager at the time – but also in the lift was Thierry Henry and Wilfred Bony! I don’t think that’s a sentence that will get said too many times in my life! Haha!

33 What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?
It would probably be Gladiation. It’s a film that I have watched absolutely loads of times over the years and I fancy I could answer my fair share of questions about that by now!

37 What’s been your most memorable fancy dress attempt?
Haha, I have had some good ones over the years, to be fair! I went to one do as Zippy off Rainbow, that was one of my favourites. I went as a deep-sea diver to another, and I also dressed up as Mrs Doubtfire one year. I will send you some photos!

41 if you could time travel, would you go forward or back?
I would say in the present and live for the moment! I always think that what’s gone is gone and you can’t change it – and what is to come, you just can’t waste your energy worrying about too much.

44 If something in your house breaks, what’s the first thing you do?
It depends how big the thing that breaks is! I bought a pretty old house and all that seems to happen is things are breaking at the moment. And I am good at fixing stuff either, so I guess I would be on the phone to my missus or my parents!

49 What would you do if you got home and found a penguin in your bed?
Haha. Erm, I would guess that my heating was broken again for a start! After that, I haven’t a clue, but it would be alright though. He could stay there for a little nap.
