Spennymoor Town Youth FC Seniors have had their promotion to Wearside League Division Two for the 2026/27 season confirmed following the League’s AGM.

The promotion marks another important milestone for the Senior (Under-23s) Team, which was formed to provide a clear pathway for players progressing through the youth ranks into adult football.

After competing well throughout their inaugural season, the Seniors now look forward to testing themselves at a higher level while continuing to develop young local talent and strengthen the connection between youth and senior football at the Club.

The move into Division Two represents another positive step in the Club’s long-term vision of creating opportunities for players to progress through every stage of the football pathway.

Preparations for the new campaign are already underway, with the 2026/27 Wearside League season set to begin on Saturday 1st August.
