Tommy Miller mixed up training for the Moors squad on Thursday night as the players were put through their paces with a boxing workout.
The Moors boss has engineered a varied warm-up campaign to keep things interesting for the players – and they were certainly kept on their toes on Thursday.
Steve Dowling at Pallister Park Community Boxing Gym led the session which saw the lads enjoy a boxing-style workout as the preparations continued for 2026/27.
“Pre-season can be monotonous at times, so we’ve looked at ways of keeping it fresh,” explained Miller.
“The lads have done some good running sessions already, but this one was a really tough physical test, and that kind of thing will stand us in good stead.
“I have said before that I want the players to be super-fit this season and varying the training during the course of pre-season will hopefully help us achieve that.
“I would like to thank Steve and everyone at Pallister Park for welcoming us on Thursday night and putting on such a great session for the lads.”
Moors will play their first pre-season friendly next weekend when they travel to take on Blyth Spartans at Croft Park on Saturday 11th July (3pm kick-off)
