Moors have today unveiled the next stage of its growing partnership with Procure Smart by introducing a new fan referral programme for the 2026/27 season.
Following the announcement of Procure Smart as Principal Partner and front-of-shirt sponsor for the fresh campaign, this latest initiative puts supporters at the heart of the partnership – and gives them a new, smarter way to back the Club.
The programme is built on a simple idea: turning business savings into real support for Spennymoor Town.
Fans are invited to refer businesses to Procure Smart, who will then review their current costs and identify opportunities to save time and money across key services, including energy, payments, telecoms and more.
If a business chooses to move forward, the value generated contributes towards supporting Moors, helping the Club continue to grow both on and off the pitch.
Fans who take part will also have the chance to win a range of exclusive Moors experiences, from match hospitality or presenting player awards and receiving Club merchandise.
How Does It Work?
The process has been designed to be as simple as possible for fans.
Fans refer a business, Procure Smart assess the contracts – if the business agrees a contract, Moors will earn extra income, and the referring fan enters the prize draw.
Just like comparison websites, Procure Smart earns commission for each contract they agree for a supplier; they will not bill businesses directly, as their commission is worked into the exclusive pricing plans from the suppliers they collaborate with. Procure Smart then shares that commission with Moors to support the Club!
The initiative builds on the already strong relationship with Moors and Procure Smart, with the business having supported the Club for a number of years and it is already helping partners and associated businesses reduce costs significantly.
“Supporting your club doesn’t stop at the final whistle,” explained Craig Shields, Managing Director at Procure Smart.
“Our new referral programme gives Moors fans a simple, meaningful way to get involved, helping local businesses save money while directly supporting the Club.
“Our partnership with Spennymoor Town has always been meaningful but this initiative means fans can play a genuine role in creating value that helps the Club grow and succeed.”
By connecting businesses with smarter solutions, and turning those savings into tangible support, the new referral programme represents a fresh, community-driven approach to partnership in football.
