Tommy Miller has moved to further bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign with the signing of young midfielder Harley Dawson following a successful trial.
The 20-year-old has been in training with Moors during pre-season and has featured in several friendlies, scoring a spectacular goal in the win at Seaton Carew earlier in the month.
Dawson came through the ranks at York City before moving on to enjoy productive spells at Pickering and Whitby Town before Moors offered him the chance to trial with the Club this summer.
Now the young midfielder has become Miller’s eight signing since the end of last term as he looks to improve his squad ahead of the National League North kick-off at Morecambe on Saturday 8th August.
“Harley has come in to training and shown us what he can do, he’s played in all the friendlies, and he’s done enough to earn a contract,” explained Miller.
“There is definitely something there to work with because he’s got good attributes, he’s a good kid and we can see him developing even further.
“I saw quite a bit of him playing for Whitby last season, so we’re hoping he can come into this group now and keep improving the way he has been in recent years.”
