Moors Ladies have added to their attacking options with the signing of Aleeza Ferreira.

Ferreira is no stranger to the Moors having previously played for our Development Team. She now joins Nikita Hemmingway’s side for the 2026/27 NERWFL Premier Division campaign, becoming the Club’s second signing of the summer.

We spoke with Aleeza upon her arrival at The Brewery Field to find out more about her previous playing experience and what supporters can expect in the coming season…

‘Having previously played for Sunderland Academy, Durham RTC, Boldon Girls, Spenny Devs. and Durham Cestria Devs.  I chose Moors Ladies because I really like the team and it was a good opportunity to develop and gain more experience at a high level.’

‘Supporters can expect to see creative and quick play from me and I can’t wait to get started’.

‘I’m very excited to have Aleeza back at Spennymoor Town Football Club. I first saw Aleeza play during our open trials when we first started the Ladies pathway a couple of seasons ago, and she was one of the standout players.’

‘She’s an attack-minded player who loves having the ball at her feet and isn’t afraid to take players on. We’ve already seen over the last couple of training sessions and friendlies that she’s starting to build some really good connections with the players around her.’

‘She’s fitted straight in with the girls, and honestly, it’s just great to see her back in a Spenny shirt!’

‘Another thing I really like about Aleeza is her attitude. She’s come in wanting to learn, develop and improve — not just from us as coaches, but from the players around her too.’

‘I’m really looking forward to seeing her continue to grow, develop and hopefully have a big impact this season.’
