Spennymoor Town can confirm that defender, Ben Beals has completed a permanent move to NPL Premier Division side, Whitby Town.

The 22-year-old centre back signed for Moors back in the summer of 2024, where he made himself an integral part of the squad that made it all the way to the FA Trophy final at Wembley.

Beals earned himself a two-year deal in the summer of 2025 following his impressive debut season, which was due to last until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

Across his time with The Club, Beals made 73 appearances, and went on to grab two assists.

The move will see Ben link up with former Moors boss Graeme Lee, who recently took the First Team Manager job with The Seasiders.

The Club would like to place on record our thanks to Ben for his efforts during his time with the club, and wish him all the best for the future.
